Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in preparing and submitting planning applications, appeals, and site appraisals for residential developments.
  • Conduct research and analysis on planning policy, land use, and housing needs.
  • Liaise with local authorities, clients, architects, and other consultants throughout the planning process.
  • Provide support with public consultations and stakeholder engagement.
  • Help to prepare reports and planning statements, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines.
  • Stay up to date with planning legislation, policies, and trends, especially in residential development.

About You:

  • A degree in Town Planning or a related discipline (or working towards completion).
  • An understanding of the UK planning system and an interest in residential planning.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • A proactive, team-oriented attitude with a passion for creating positive outcomes through planning.
  • Eligible for or working towards membership of the RTPI.
