About the Role

Our client, named among the Sunday Times Best Companies to Work For in 2024, is seeking an Arboricultural Consultant to provide expert guidance on trees and development. In this client-facing role, you’ll deliver specialized advice across sectors—residential, commercial, renewables, infrastructure projects, and estate management. Your work will involve consulting on all aspects of BS5837 and arboricultural planning, providing unique insight on data searches, planning policies, and design recommendations that set projects up for success.

With support from an experienced team, you’ll lead fieldwork and prepare key planning documents, including Arboricultural Impact Assessments, Method Statements, TPO applications, and promotional materials for site projects. Familiarity with AutoCAD and a solid understanding of the UK planning system as it pertains to trees are highly valued for this role.

  • Brings skills and experience in BS5837 consultancy
  • Holds an academic qualification in arboriculture or a related environmental field
  • Is a technical or higher member of the Arboricultural Association
  • Has a keen interest in arboriculture within the UK planning system
  • Thrives on building client relationships and networking across the industry
  • Is proactive, solution-oriented, and adaptable to new challenges
  • Possesses strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Demonstrates excellent organizational and management abilities
