About the Role

Our client is a forward-thinking, multidisciplinary environmental consultancy specialising in ecology, arboriculture, and land management. They are dedicated to delivering innovative and sustainable solutions that balance development with environmental conservation.

They are currently seeking a talented Landscape Architect or Landscape CAD Technician to join their expanding team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects across multiple sectors, with exciting and flexible working arrangements in a team-focused and supportive culture.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with ecologists, arborists, and project managers to deliver high-quality landscape designs.
  • Produce detailed CAD drawings, including plans, sections, and illustrative graphics, using AutoCAD and other relevant software.
  • Develop Landscape and Ecological Management Plans (LEMPs).
  • Prepare Design and Access Statements and landscape-related technical reports.
  • Innovate and contribute to designs for habitat creation, restoration, and mitigation projects.
  • Engage with clients and stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of project specifications within set deadlines.

Essential Requirements:

  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Landscape Architecture, Environmental Design, or a related discipline.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and other design software (e.g., Adobe Suite, SketchUp).
  • Strong technical drawing skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Experience with landscape or ecological project design.
  • Exceptional communication and organizational skills.
  • A proactive, team-oriented mindset.

Desirable Skills:

  • Membership of the Landscape Institute (or working towards chartership).
  • Familiarity with GIS software (e.g., QGIS, ArcGIS).
  • Understanding of UK planning systems and regulations related to landscape and ecology.
  • Experience in planting design and specification.
  • Driving license (as site visits may be required).
