About the Role

Location: Preferably based in the Midlands, South West, or South East, though applications from other UK regions are welcome.

Our client is offering an outstanding opportunity for experienced ecological professionals to become part of their thriving consultancy. They are looking for motivated, passionate, and proactive individuals to play a vital role within their dedicated team.

With over three decades of expertise, our client is a leading consultancy providing ecological solutions to private and commercial sectors. They engage with local planning authorities, public bodies, and charitable organizations, and collaborate with partners specializing in landscape consultancy and development.

In this dynamic environment, the successful candidate will lead project management efforts and mentor junior team members. Reporting directly to senior leadership, they will also enjoy a high degree of independence in their role.

🔍 Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting diverse ecological surveys and comprehensive assessments.

  • Delivering specialist guidance on ecological challenges and opportunities.

  • Planning, developing, and overseeing projects across multiple industries.

  • Preparing technical documentation, including Ecological Impact Assessments, Biodiversity Net Gain reports, and protected species assessments.

  • Engaging with a collaborative, enthusiastic team on forward-thinking projects.

💡 Candidate Profile:

  • Demonstrated experience in ecological fieldwork and detailed reporting.

  • In-depth understanding of UK wildlife laws and ecological best practices.

  • Possession of protected species licences (especially for bats) is advantageous.

  • Strong communication abilities with a drive to expand skill sets.

  • A sincere commitment to environmental conservation.

  • Relevant academic qualifications and/or professional memberships.

  • A valid UK driving licence is required.
