About the Role

Our client is a well-established, 100% employee-owned company dedicated to fostering a positive, supportive work environment where all voices are valued. They’re looking for a motivated and passionate Invasive Plant Consultant to join the team and help continue delivering top-tier consultancy services to clients.

The Role
As an Invasive Plant Consultant, you will provide expert guidance to clients from day one. Your primary duties will involve conducting on-site assessments, preparing detailed reports, and offering solutions to help clients address invasive plant issues.

Based from home with occasional travel to the Woking office, your region will cover the Midlands and surrounding areas. You’ll interact with a wide variety of people, so being outgoing, approachable, and solution-oriented is key. You’ll also need to think quickly, assess client needs, and effectively communicate how the business can provide tailored support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify various invasive plant species and assess their impact on sites
  • Develop and submit Management Plans with technical advice and cost estimates
  • Guide clients through decision-making processes, providing follow-up support
  • Track proposals and aim to secure client instructions for suggested work
  • Achieve sales targets in terms of secured work and conversion rates
  • Support Sales & Marketing initiatives, such as webinars, networking, and promotional activities
  • Cultivate relationships with solicitors, surveyors, estate agents, and other professional advisors to build repeat and referral business

What We’re Looking For
Our client values collaboration and growth within their employee-owned culture. While they prioritize hiring the right people over specific skill sets, the following attributes are key for success in this role:

  • Passion for the environment and interest in plants
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and support others
  • Knowledge of landscaping, construction plant, or waste disposal is a plus, as is previous experience in a similar role

Why Join?

  • Competitive salary and 37.5-hour contract
  • 31 days of holiday, including bank holidays and Christmas shutdown
  • Flexible working arrangements
  • 100% employee-owned company with a profit-sharing scheme
  • Enhanced sick pay and life insurance
  • Company events and perks
  • A dynamic, friendly work environment

Please note, a full driving licence and access to your own vehicle are essential for this role.
