Senior Landscape Architect

As a Senior Landscape Architect, you will play a key role in driving the technical and creative excellence of their projects. Working closely with their Associate Landscape Architect and Directors, you will lead designs that reflect the consultancy’s values, deliver innovative solutions, and help push the practice forward.

Key Responsibilities

Studio Management
  • Contribute to weekly resource and planning meetings.
  • Provide project delivery updates, including programme progress and any changes.
  • Assist with marketing campaigns and contribute content for social media.
  • Represent and champion all disciplines of the studio in external engagements.
  • Write and contribute to project bids.
  • Attend networking and client engagement events to strengthen relationships.
  • Lead CPD (Continuing Professional Development) and knowledge-sharing sessions.
  • Drive improvements in the team’s technical capabilities.
  • Uphold the consultancy’s policies and values.
Project Delivery
  • Create and communicate compelling, accurate design information in line with studio standards.
  • Lead multiple projects simultaneously with minimal supervision.
  • Deliver project outputs on time and within budget, with support from Associates and Directors.
  • Supervise, mentor, and inspire junior team members.
  • Conduct and drive design reviews, lessons learned workshops, and quality checks.
  • Monitor project financial performance and manage scope changes or additional fee requirements.
  • Follow Quality Management Systems (QMS) for efficient project delivery.
Studio Knowledge and Skills
  • Research and promote best practices in design and sustainability.
  • Lead CPD activities and contribute to team knowledge-building initiatives.
  • Champion the use of advanced software and technical tools.
  • Maintain expertise across all levels of landscape architecture and their multidisciplinary approach.
  • Utilize financial and quality management systems effectively.

About You

  • Qualifications: Chartered Landscape Architect (CMLI) with over 5 years of professional design experience.
  • Skills: Strong technical and creative abilities, with experience in project leadership and team mentorship.
  • Values: Passionate about sustainability, biodiversity, and delivering high-quality, innovative design solutions.
