About the Role
Our client is a leader in environmental and geo-environmental consultancy, known for delivering innovative, sustainable solutions that enhance safety and environmental quality in the built environment. We're looking for a skilled and driven Geo-Environmental Associate to join their Bristol team, where you'll play a pivotal role in shaping environmental strategies for land development and remediation projects.
Key Responsibilities: As a Geo-Environmental Associate, you will lead and manage projects focused on land assessments, remediation, and development, including:
- Leading site investigations, contaminated land assessments, and environmental risk evaluations.
- Developing and executing remediation plans to address contamination on development sites.
- Offering technical expertise in soil and groundwater analysis, pollutant assessments, and regulatory compliance.
- Managing project teams, ensuring timely and budget-conscious delivery of work.
- Collaborating with clients, regulators, and stakeholders to achieve project goals.
- Preparing and reviewing detailed technical reports, such as Phase I and Phase II assessments, remediation strategies, and validation documents.
- Supporting business development through tender submissions and identifying new opportunities.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Degree in Environmental Science, Geology, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in geo-environmental consultancy, with a focus on land contamination and remediation.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
- Expertise in contaminated land regulations and remediation strategy design.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Chartered or working towards chartership (e.g., CEnv, CGeol, CSci) preferred.
