About the Role
Our client is seeking enthusiastic ecologist to join their expanding team, based in a seaside district of Hampshire. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a range of survey projects, involving mapping, data analysis, and reporting.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with protected species surveys (bats, dormice, reptiles, badgers, GCN)
- Conduct habitat surveys, including quadrat surveys and habitat condition assessments
- Perform data analysis, such as bat sonograms and video analysis
The role involves travel across regions from Kent to Dorset, requiring flexibility in working hours, particularly during peak periods. Evening and nighttime work on bat surveys will be necessary, so a full UK driving license is essential. Candidates should be motivated, eager to learn, and quick to adapt to new tasks. Previous experience is a plus, but not required, as full training will be provided.
