About the Role

Ocean to Earth Recruitment is proud to partner with a leading environmental consultancy seeking a Technical Support Consultant to join their dynamic team. Our client specialises in Ecology, Landscape Architecture, and Arboriculture, delivering high-quality environmental solutions with a strong focus on sustainability.

This role is ideal for a technical professional with 2-3 years of experience in GIS and AutoCAD, looking to contribute to meaningful environmental projects. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with field teams to support project reporting and provide essential IT and technical support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create, manage, and implement GIS and AutoCAD drawings to support ecological, landscape, and arboricultural reports.
  • Interpret and analyse spatial data for mapping and project development.
  • Collaborate with Ecologists, Landscape Architects, and Arboricultural Consultants to produce high-quality technical drawings.
  • Provide technical IT support, troubleshooting software and hardware issues.
  • Ensure data accuracy, security, and backup processes are maintained.
  • Assist in implementing new technology solutions to enhance workflow efficiency.

Requirements

  • 2-3 years of experience in a Technical Support, GIS, or AutoCAD role.
  • Proficiency in GIS software (ArcGIS, QGIS) and AutoCAD.
  • Strong IT troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to interpret survey data.
  • A team player with strong collaboration and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Full UK driving licence (essential for travel to project sites).
