About the Role

Our client, a leading consultancy providing ecological, arboricultural, and land management services, is looking for a Senior or Principal Ecologist to join their friendly, close-knit team in Bristol. The consultancy works across Southern England and South Wales on a wide range of projects.

As an Ecologist, you will be responsible for conducting surveys, writing reports, and managing diverse projects.

Essential skills and experience:

  • Minimum of four years’ consultancy experience (including project management and reporting)
  • Excellent communication and client liaison skills
  • Strong understanding of wildlife legislation and planning processes
  • Expertise in habitat and protected species surveys
  • BNG experience and CIEEM membership
  • Full UK driving license

Desirable skills and experience:

  • Specialism in birds or bats
  • Experience with ES chapters, HRA reports, and EPSL applications
  • Proficiency in QGIS
