The Role

We are seeking a Senior Hydrogeologist with extensive knowledge of groundwater issues and the ability to conduct both quantitative and qualitative assessments independently. Attention to detail, strong numerical skills, and a passion for solving complex hydrogeological problems are essential. Excellent communication skills are crucial, as you'll interact with colleagues, clients, and regulators. Familiarity with UK regulatory bodies like the Environment Agency, Natural Resources Wales, and SEPA is highly desirable.

Candidate Requirements

We are interested in candidates who possess:

  • A minimum 2:1 degree and a postgraduate qualification in hydrogeology or a related discipline
  • At least 2 years of consultancy experience
  • Comprehensive knowledge of EA, NRW, SEPA, and LLFA requirements
  • Proficiency in analytical methods for quantifying groundwater flow
  • Exceptional report writing, communication, and organizational skills
  • Proven experience in managing projects within tight deadlines and budgets
  • Ideally, experience with groundwater modeling packages
  • Commercial awareness and understanding of budgets and deadlines
  • GIS software proficiency is a plus
  • Willingness to travel across the UK and potentially overseas
  • A full, clean driving license
