About the Role
As a Senior EIA Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in leading and managing Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs) and delivering expert advice to support development consent processes. You’ll serve as a trusted advisor to clients, supported by a team of multidisciplinary specialists, while helping to mentor and develop junior colleagues.

Key Responsibilities
- Project Leadership: Oversee and provide expert guidance on multidisciplinary environmental inputs for projects, ensuring EIAs meet the highest standards.
- Reporting and Coordination: Prepare EIA screening and scoping reports, review technical chapters, and produce Environmental Statements with precision and clarity.
- Client Collaboration: Act as a key point of contact, ensuring that environmental considerations align seamlessly with project goals and timelines.
- Team Development: Mentor and support junior team members, fostering growth and delivering high-quality outcomes for clients.
- Sustainability Integration: Offer insights on sustainability strategies, including carbon-neutral opportunities and internal initiatives.
- Research and Appraisal: Conduct detailed planning appraisals to assess site development potential and prepare comprehensive reports with actionable recommendations.
- Business Development: Prepare fee proposals and contribute to securing new projects.
What You Bring
- A degree in environmental science or a related discipline.
- Chartered status (or working towards it) with institutions like CIWEM, CIEEM, or IEMA.
- Expertise in EIA management, with strong technical knowledge and legislative awareness.
- Experience providing technical advice on medium to large-scale infrastructure projects.
- Competence in producing high-quality reports and delivering technical reviews.
- Previous experience in a consultancy setting, with knowledge of multidisciplinary collaboration.
- Desirable: Experience mentoring or managing junior team members.
