About the Role

We are recruiting for Hydrogeologists and Geologists at Consultant level, for a science led earth sciences consultancy. The team you will join is highly technical and dedicated to providing innovative and sustainable solutions to environmental challenges. You will have the opportunity to work with clients across various sectors and on a diverse selection of projects. 

Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a talented Hydrogeologist/Geologist to join the team. The successful candidate will play a key role in conducting field investigations, analyzing data, and providing expert advice to our clients. This is an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects and contribute to meaningful environmental initiatives. You will be responsible for evaluating the effects of land development on water resources and water quality, in addition to identifying risks stemming from environmental incidents and contaminated land. Utilizing your expertise in geology and hydrogeology, you will contribute to the creation of water supplies, evaluate water balances, and address flooding concerns. Your role will also involve providing support during planning and permitting processes.

Key Responsibilities:

As part of this role, you will engage in various project phases, ranging from conducting desk-based studies and field monitoring to planning and overseeing site investigation activities. You will also be responsible for preparing comprehensive reports, which may include detailed quantitative risk assessments and conceptual hydrogeological models, as well as implementing remediation strategies.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Hydrogeology, Geology, Earth Sciences, or related field.
  • Proven experience in conducting hydrogeological and geological fieldwork.
  • Proficiency in data collection, analysis, and interpretation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
