About the Role
Ocean to Earth Recruitment is delighted to be working on behalf of our client to recruit a passionate and skilled Hydrogeologist / Water Scientist. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing team of hydrogeologists, water scientists, and land professionals who are committed to assessing the impacts of land development on water resources and quality, as well as managing risks from environmental incidents and contaminated land.
About the Role:
In this role, you will apply your geological and hydrogeological expertise to various projects, including developing water supplies, assessing water balances and flooding issues, and supporting planning and permitting processes. You will be involved in every stage of project work, from desk-based studies and field monitoring to site investigations and report preparation. This will include detailed quantitative risk assessments, conceptual hydrogeological models, and remediation solutions.
This position is ideal for a highly motivated individual looking to contribute to a dynamic and growing consultancy environment, delivering work of the highest standard.
Key Responsibilities:

Assessing the impact of land development on water resources and quality.

Conducting risk assessments related to environmental incidents and contaminated land.

Developing water supply solutions and evaluating water balance and flood risks.

Supporting planning and permitting processes.

Undertaking desk-based studies, field monitoring, and site investigations.

Preparing reports, including hydrogeological models and remediation plans.
Skills & Experience Required:

BSc in Geology, Earth Science, or a related field (essential).

MSc in Hydrogeology (desirable).

A strong passion for delivering high-quality work within agreed timescales and budgets.

Recent graduates with a keen interest and commercial understanding will be considered.

Field experience (or willingness to learn) in different drilling techniques, geological assessments, groundwater and surface water monitoring, and aquifer testing.

Experience in hydrogeology risk and impact assessments.

Chartered status or a desire to work towards chartership with a relevant institution (e.g., Geological Society).

A valid UK driving licence.
