About the Role

Our client, one of the UK’s leading independent consultancies specialising in infrastructure, property, environment, planning, and sustainability, is seeking an experienced and dynamic Associate Director to join their Infrastructure Projects and Programmes Division. This is a unique opportunity to oversee a diverse portfolio of projects within the energy sector, contributing to strategic initiatives and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project and Client Management: Oversee the delivery of key projects to our client’s high standards, ensuring consistency in client management and fostering long-term relationships.
  • Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, leveraging existing relationships while building new ones.
  • Strategy Contribution: Play a key role in shaping and implementing sector strategies, particularly in the energy sector, aligned with our client’s strategic goals.
  • Team Leadership: Depending on experience, manage team performance, resilience, and resource allocation to meet project commitments.
  • Technical Expertise: Operate as a technical specialist, providing high-quality technical work and mentoring less experienced colleagues.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to all legislative requirements and internal protocols, including Health and Safety, company policies, Sustainability Goals, and B Corp objectives.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Leadership Experience: Proven experience in a team leadership role, with a strong focus on project management and business development.
  • Educational Background: Degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Industry Experience: 10+ years of relevant experience, with a deep understanding of the energy sector and broad knowledge of the environmental and sustainability market.
  • Professional Status: Chartered professional status or working towards it.
  • Passion for Excellence: A commitment to delivering projects on time and within budget, ensuring client satisfaction.
